About Jason

Jason, Azteca April Quest has decided to stay with us, from katie's last litter of 9. We hope to do Obedience, gundog training & agility with him & maybe a few shows to see how he goes.

 

Jason is undertaking obedience training & ring craft.  He is really coming on & so like his mum, Katie, with her lovely temperament.

 

On 19th October 08 Jason attended his 1st show , United Retriever Club at Slough where he was awarded 1st place in Minor Puppy Dog.

 

On 2nd Nov 08 Jason was awarded 1st place in Minor Puppy Dog at Berkshire Downs & Chilterns Golden Retriever Club Champ Show. This award qualifies him for Crufts 2009 !!! The win follows on from his Best Puppy in Show award at Southern Golden Retriever Society's Open Show on 26th October. What a fantastic start to his show career. He just is the most adorable puppy!

 

Jason carries on with his winning streak with several Best Puppy in Breed awards. He has now passed his Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze award.

 

On 18th January 2009 at Manchester Championship show he was awarded 3rd place in Minor Puppy Dog which qualifies him for Crufts 2010. He is such a clever puppy!!

 

Update 19 March 2009

 

At Southern Golden Retriever Society Champ Show on 22nd Feb 09, Jason was awarded Best Puppy Dog having won 2 classes, followed by a 2nd. We are really pleased with Jasons progress .

 

14th March 09 at the Eastern Counties Golden Retriever Club open show Jason was awarded Reserve Best Puppy in Show. He won 3 classes & then got Best Puppy Dog. He just goes from strength to strength, what a star!! He will now have a short break & then will hopefully will attend more shows in the Spring

 

Jason has now started Gundog training and is making good progress

 

Update 18 May 2009

 

SGRS held a beginners working test training day on 3rd May with training in the morning followed by a test in the afternoon. Jason scored a creditable 65/80 points & thoroughly enjoyed his day.

On 6th May he passed his KC Good Citizen gold test with flying colours. He is such a star & so enjoys all he takes part in.

On 27th January Jason passed his Show Gundog Working Certificate. Although he took time to settle he completed the test in fine style. He now joins Flame with this accolade. Jason has now got his 2nd clear eye certificate & is at stud to approved bitches with clear eye certificates, good elbow & hip scores. Although still learning he is an enthusiastic stud dog!
