Obedience & Agility

All the girls have competed at one time or another in obedience.

 

Polly & Flame have competed in special Good Citizen obedience classes at certain shows. These are a lot of fun. We also compete in obedience classes at Companion shows. These you can enter on the day & Polly has won rosettes at.

 

A lot of Golden Retriever Clubs & Societies run obedience classes at their shows , these have to be pre entered.

 

Flame is our Agility dog!! She may not be as fast as a Border Collie but she’s a lot quieter!!

 

She started at 12 month old & has never looked back. Competing in her first agility fun show in 2005 & gaining her 1st clear round rosette.

 

The Southern Golden Retriever Society have an agility show at the annual open breed show at Leatherhead. This is open to only Goldies so the times are a lot slower.

 

There are Agility training clubs all over the country so get training!! You don’t have to be super slim (I’m not!!). A great many handlers have mobility scooters so it really is accessible to all!!
