I show 3 of the girls Katie, Flame & Polly with reasonable success. Golden Retrievers usually make up the biggest entries at Championship & Open shows. So it is very competitive.

 

Katie was not bought as a show dog but nevertheless has done reasonably well in the ring gaining her first Best of Breed at 13 months. She has since had many Best of Breeds , Reserve Best in Show & many Reserve Best of Breeds. The highlight of her show career was winning Best of Breed & then Reserve Best in Show at United Retriever Club Open Show 2005. Katie gained her Stud Book Number at the Windsor Championship Show 2007 under judge Barbara Mills.

 

Flame has exceeded all our expectations by being our first home bred puppy to qualify for Crufts. As a puppy she did very well in Puppy Stakes at Champ show being placed 3 times in very large classes. Flame is a very stylish & showy mover so therefore catches the judges eye.

 

Polly did not have the coat to do well in the ring as a puppy but since having her first litter & getting her new coat she looks lovely & is regularly being placed. In November 2007 she was placed in her class at Berkshire Downs & Chiltern Golden Retriever club Champ Show. This was her only Champ Show of the year.

 

I am very proud of my girls & I always take the best dog home!!
